Cookie policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones Smarttechnologies uses, and how you can manage them. For broader data practices see our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be essential for basic functions or used to understand how the site is used.
How we use cookies
We use essential cookies to remember your cookie consent choice and keep core site functions working. If you accept analytics cookies, we may use them to understand aggregate visit patterns. Rejecting analytics does not block consultations, forms, or reading the site.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| smarttechnologies_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies | Up to 12 months (localStorage) | Smarttechnologies |
| st_session | Essential session integrity for form submission flow when enabled by hosting | Session | Smarttechnologies / host |
| _st_analytics | Optional anonymised analytics of page views (only if accepted) | 6 months | Smarttechnologies |
Managing and disabling cookies
You can Accept or Reject optional cookies via the banner on first visit. Clearing site data in your browser removes the stored choice and will show the banner again. You can also block cookies in browser settings; essential storage for consent may then be unavailable and the banner may reappear.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts or images loaded from third-party CDNs may set their own technical cookies according to those providers’ policies. We do not control those independently. Avoiding optional analytics does not remove all third-party network requests required to display fonts or images.
Impact of disabling
Disabling essential consent storage may cause the cookie banner to appear repeatedly. Disabling analytics only reduces our ability to understand aggregate traffic; it does not prevent you from requesting consultations or reading guides.
Updates
We may update this cookie policy when our practices change. The version published on this page is the current one.
